About Harold Weston, Jr. — Harold J. Weston, Jr. has over 20 years of sports and entertainment industry experience. Mr. Weston is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Green Onion Films. On April 26, 2015 he will be inducted into the NY Boxing Hall of Fame. Prior to these most recent ventures, Weston worked in the boxing industry over the last 25 years independently and with some of the leading fight promoters in the industry, including Don King Productions, Butch Lewis Productions and Madison Square Garden. Prior to his business experience, Weston was an accomplished amateur and professional boxer. He won the New York City Golden Gloves in 1970 and went on to become a world-class welterweight professional boxer. Weston fought for two world championships against Wilfredo Benitez and Pepino Cueraz, with his last professional fight occurring in 1979 against Thomas “Hit Man” Hearns where he suffered a career ending injury to his retina. Weston is a US Army Veteran.
