logo041211David Giannetto in Street Fight on 5 Steps for SMBs Looking to Dominate the Local Competition

Check out the new article by David Giannetto (@dgiannetto) in Street Fight on how small to medium sized business can dominate the competition locally.

Excerpt: It used to be simple for small to medium sized businesses (SMBs). All they needed was a prominent  location, a little bit of effective local advertising, or a growing, positive reputation — and their local community would not only purchase from them, but also quickly become loyal. But these advantages are being eroded by the techniques that social and mobile technologies make available to larger businesses. These larger businesses, bolstered by their greater resources and better brand recognition, are using these to personalize their interactions with consumers, making their homogeneous message seem less so.  Keep reading on the Street Fight website…

David Giannetto Writes for Janrain – Goodbye, Omni-Channel. Hello, Omni-Experience.

Giannetto-Blog-Post1-OmniexperienceDavid Giannetto writes an article for Janrain’s company blog on the future of Omni-Channel

“Considering that Janrain is the company that created the first social login, for them to still be at the forefront of how companies understand and interact with their consumer-base says a lot about the strength and commitment of their organization,” says David Giannetto, author of the new book Big Social Mobile, which shows companies how to use technology such as Janrain to realize tangible business results.  “Janrain understands the nuances of a very complex combination of constantly shifting social platforms, where privacy policies are constantly changing, and through all of that they are still able to keep their clients focused on getting real results.  They are an important piece of the puzzle in helping companies of all sizes become Big Social Mobile enterprises.”

mobilefomo-logoDavid Giannetto in MobileFOMO on why your smart phone is not your friend

Check out the new article by David Giannetto (@dgiannetto) in MobileFOMO: Why Your Mobile Phone is Not Your Friend.

EXCERPT (opening):  Everyone knows their cell phone is collecting an amazing amount of information, correlating their every digital action to the environment surrounding them, but few understand just how deep their mobile device’s insight into who they are goes—not just what you do (what we assume apps are collecting) but who you are.  Consider these increasingly more complex ways it is gathering information about you, your behavior, your personality and even your emotional state.
